About the book:
Nafis, an extremely curious and intelligent, green-eyed boy looks at the world differently. He sees the world from up on high and doesn't care about the superficial social expectations. He is considered old fashioned, introvert, anti social but has a deep feeling about nature and effects of urbanization on nature.
One night he befriends Silence, who takes him to a path which throws a powerful light on him that makes him visualise different colours of nature. It opens a whole new world for him. World capable of saving, rebellious, self preserving, giving which is slowly being destroyed by the industrial and technological revolution.
That's when he realises his true calling. He sets out on the path of revolutionizing natural existence vs the technological advancement.
My opinion:
The world from the perspective of a boy is beautiful and intricately described. Different natural existence and its symbiosis are profound, touching, encourages us to be better humans and respect nature. Such books are worth reading, though they need an acquired taste. One can say that the theme of the book is on the lines of self awareness and natural preservation.
